I just installed the Figurati Reusable Performance Magnetic Oil Filter on my 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic, so I haven't put a lot of miles on it yet or reached my first oil change. That said, my first impressions have been extremely positive.
The quality was obvious as soon as I opened the package. The machining, finish, and overall construction are top-notch. It doesn't feel like a gimmick—it feels like a premium part that's built to last the life of the motorcycle.
Installation was simple and straightforward. Knowing that the filter uses a reusable stainless-steel element along with powerful magnets to help capture fine metal particles gives me added confidence that I'm doing everything I can to protect my engine. I also like the idea of being able to inspect and clean the filter at every oil change instead of simply throwing away another disposable filter.
One of the biggest reasons I chose this filter was because I plan to keep my Harley for many years. Investing in better engine protection made sense to me, and I appreciate that this is a one-time purchase instead of buying a new filter at every service.
I'll be paying close attention when I perform my first oil change and inspect the filter, but based on the build quality, ease of installation, and engineering, I'm very impressed so far. If it performs as well as it appears to be built, I believe this will be one of the best upgrades I've made for long-term engine protection.
I'll definitely come back and update this review after I've put more miles on the bike, but my first impression is that Figurati has created a product that's worthy of serious consideration by any Harley rider who takes maintenance seriously. I plan on getting the magnetic dipsticks for the oil and transmission in the near future.
I changed the oil in my Harley Davidson Street Bob and installed the new Figurati oil filter. The filter is made of aluminum and very high quality.
Just put it on appears to be high quality. Have not had the opportunity to ride much.
