Let me start off by saying I very much wanted to provide a good review because I like the Law abiding biker store. I believe they are providing us a good service. I bought this But t Buffer to support them after watching a video on it that they produced.
That being said, I do not feel that the Buffer is much better for me than my regular Mustang seat, that I have had on my bike for several years.
I wondered about the Buffer and whether it would be hot to sit on in the summer. I could not find anything about that before buying the Butt Buffer.
Upon receiving the Butt Buffer, I really did not feel that much difference than my regular seat.
Just today I visited a friend in the hospital and the bike sate in a parking lot for 2 hours in the sun. When I came out and got on my bike O boy was that puppy hot. I had to ride for about a half an hour on that seat and it was VERY uncomfortable. I wish I could have measured the temperature of that thing but it was way to hot to sit on.
All I can say is, had I know all this in advance, I would not have made the purchase.
On the brighter side I believe I will carry a towel in the summer to put folded in two on the Butt Buffer when I have to park in the sun and hope that this will help with the problem.
This is my 2nd one. The first one version 1, I killed & cooked it into an "Alien Amorphous BLOB on a hot Australian Day riding. This new pebble polymer insert is great, and I can ride all day, (500-800km) or more & not have to stand on the pegs at any point. The pebble effect is brilliant & encourages to pad not to double up and stick to itself! I'm not a small lad, & I ride a K1600GTL , & with the ButtBuffer it's like a recliner rocking chair down the motorway! Am very happy with it , as I'm shortly going on a "little" around Australia ride of approximately 25-28,000km ! The ButtBuffer I am sure will be an important piece of my gear. While not cheap to us over the pond here, (about $300.00 Australian by the time it lands here), I believe it is well worth the investment!
A quick ride of 180 miles to Centennial Wy on July 4th and was very impressed with how the Butt Buffer felt.
I was a little apprehensive about buying a Butt Buffer at first as have a Corbin seat and have ridden over 75,000 miles in the last six years with few problems. I have to admit that on longer rides it really makes a difference. Great quality and definitely worth the money.
So far im pleased with the butt buffer. Planning s week trip soon.
