I bought these boots just prior to a trip to the east coast. I didn’t really have a chance to break them in before the 1000 mile ride but that wasn’t a problem. As pointed out in the video review from the Law Abiding Biker site, they are a little stiff right out of the box. My remedy for that was not to tighten up the BOA much and that fixed any comfort issue. 700 miles on the first day and 300 on the second day and it almost felt like I was riding in tennis shoes (not that I would ever do that.) I also rode the same miles home a few days later broken up over 2 days as well. The boots are super comfortable. I can’t wait to try them out standing in the flag line for a Patriot Guard mission. This will be the true test of comfort. Sometimes those last up to 4 hours. I can’t wait already tell that they are way more comfortable than what I was wearing before. As to the water proof portion, that has yet to be tested. I managed to stay completely dry over 2000 miles of riding to the east coast and back.
Right out of the box, I used these boots on a 1800 mile trip. They performed great in rain and in both cold and warm temperatures. Very comfortable and I had no problem walking in them around town on my stops.
These boots are some of the most comfortable boots I've owned! I find myself wearing them all the time. I love the BOA system. They have great support and broke in right away. I went up a half size but next time I will go up a full size.
Ordered these over the winter. Like mentioned in video, they're stiff out of the box to the point that I thought I'd ordered too small of a size. Once on they do loosen up. I wore around outside too. Very comfy. Love the Boa laces. Will probably order a 2nd pair.
