RickRak Sure-Klick Stainless Steel Saddlebag Safety Bolts for Harley-Davidson

Set of 4 included.
We include everything you need to install our Saddlebag Safety Bolt Kit. You get the U-nut to be placed on your bike, and the Stainless Steel machined knob with bolts. The Rickrak solution for Harley saddlebag safety looks great on your bike and offers superior heavy-duty Stainless Steel Safety. As recommended by the manufacturer and H-D please make sure to check them regularly for proper tightness.

How securely attached are your Harley saddlebags? There are many true stories of saddlebags coming off while going down the road! 2016 and prior Harley models use a vulnerable 1/4 turn pin attachment system that has had recalls in the past.

Additionally, on 2017 and up Harley models, these bolts have a lower profile than the clunky stock lever system.  Stop those hang-ups while trying to take stuff out of your saddlebags!

Additional Recommendations:
  • Fits 1985 and newer Harley Davidson motorcycles with hard saddlebags. On '17 & newer models you do not need to install the U Bolts. Just replace your stock knobs.

skeptical retaining nuts won't rust

I am skeptical the non coated retaining nuts won't rust.
Otherwise, seems to be quality built.
I like the clicks you get as you tighten the bolts.

Easy Install, 1st Rate Product

2009 Electra Glide, install was easy as falling off a log, hardware (and now saddlebags) are solid as granite. Excellent idea -- all 1/4 turn saddlebag mounts in the world ought to be converted to this.

Sturdy product

I've lost a bag before. I replaced the stock 1/4 turns with black knobbed bolts. The bolts were fine but the threaded clips both snapped. A couple of things sold me on these: the threaded clips are heavy duty, very solid. The bolts are also very solid and hefty, but the locking mechanism was more than what I've seen in other styles. You spin it tight and you can hear and feel it snap in place. It will not backspin from vibration. I just got them so we'll see how they perform over time, but I'm impressed already with the quality and technology.
