So today I rode through my first bit of rain since purchasing the boots back in April. I have been coast to coast riding with them. My feet got wet. I will have to say, I didn’t necessarily have them cinched down super tight around my legs, so that may have been my problem. I will have to conduct further testing to make sure.
I will say though, I rode through 114 degree heat across Montana on Sunday and 95 degree heat all day on Monday and my feet never bothered me with heat problems. Montana was brutal, the term hotter than hell comes to mind. I stopped in Laurel (just west of Billings) and it said 107 on the bike at the rest area. Upon departure, it rapidly climbed up to 113 and 114 for the rest of the way to Sheridan, WY. I was hot but my feet weren’t the problem. All day Monday riding from Sheridan to central Missouri (1100 miles) and no problems feeling hot in the much cooler 95 degree heat.
I will still give the boots a 5 star because they are comfortable and don’t make my feet hot. The jury is still out on the waterproof part. More testing to come.
Incredible. Don’t second guess the purchase. Just buy them!
Fantastic boots. Very stiff but broke in easily. Boots run small so order 1 size bigger for best results. (I’m a size 9. Ordered size 10 and fits great). Well worth the money
Taking a few weeks ride and stopped in the store to try these on. Glad I did since they run very small to their size. But been wearing them almost 500 miles now and very comfortable.
Purchased Oct. of 2025, so about 9 months of use as of may 2026. Approximately 10,000 miles of riding with the Icons. Boot did take a little while to break in. For me it was about the 2000 - 2200 mile mark that the boots finally felt "broken" in. These are my go to boots for riding and there very easy getting on and off with the BOA lacing system. My one only gripe, Picture included, is that the threading has started to fray toward the back of the left toe area due to where I place my toe to shift. Otherwise great boot once they're broken in and a all weather boot for sure. I would purchase again for sure.
