The answer to more legroom and comfort on floorboard-equipped H-D Models is to move the location of the brake pedal pad while flattening the angle of the pad making it much more comfortable to operate. The amount of extension varies depending on the application. Still, the result is that your foot is no longer “under” the brake pedal, which is a safety issue, and makes braking easier and more natural.

Just rode 70 miles with new SoftBrake Extended Brake Pedal. No more pulling my leg back, lifting foot up and pushing down. Just lift toe slightly, slide foot forward and depress brake. Just turned 80 and it made braking much easier and safer. Would recommend it to anyone with a Harley. It was a little pricey, but well worth it for me.
Not sure if everybody has the same problem I did, but I had to lift my foot off of the floorboard to press the brake pedal and that was just not acceptable.
This solved that problem.
Very easy to install, and now my heel stays on the floorboard and I can swing it over and press the brake like it should’ve been to start with
I wear a size 14 and the Softbrake Extended Pedal is just what I needed. Very easy to install and a well made product.
Much more comfortable than stock while covering the rear brake at slow speeds. Will be ordering another for a different bike.
I have been looking online for the extended brake lever. Either it has been discontinued or the company is going out of business. This works great and is worth it's weight in gold. It truly is a safety issue just using the stock one. With the stock one you constantly have to reposition your foot off the foot pegs. With the updated lever, it's just a quick lean to the left in the natural position. Easy to install, just watch the video.
