The answer to more leg room and comfort on floorboard equipped H-D Models. Levers move the location of the brake pedal pad while flattening the angle of the pad making it much more comfortable to operate. The amount of extension varies depending on the application, but the result is that your foot is no longer “under” the brake pedal, which is a safety issue, and makes braking easier and more natural.

+1" version of the Kuraykyn brake pedal designed for Harley's without lower fairings WILL NOT WORK on Harley's with the older or newer style lower fairings. The lower fairing impedes the brake pedal. You'll need to select the brake pedal model that says "with lower fairings". They are shorter pedals, yet flatter, and are made to fit with those old style lower fairings.
Further info: If you have the new redesigned lower fairings as seen on 24 and newer models like the Street Glide Ultra and want a +1" extended pedal you can use the SOFTBRAKE extended brake pedal and it fits fine. The Kuryakyn +1" extended pedal will not fit with the new redesigned fairings as it's designed slightly different.

Awesome product. I bought the extended girder brake pedal. Better foot angle and given the relatively small footboards on the new Harleys, allow some extra valuable foot movement on the footboard. I then bought the Saddlemen SDC tuck and roll seat with the backrest....this put me higher and maybe one inch forward....This brake seat combination worked well for me (5'8" / 30" inseam)....I then bought the SE Extreme snorkel air filter assembly with the 90 degree bend....THIS combination resulted in that when I reached for the rear brake, my right shin interfered with me reaching the brake pedal. I am currently just able to apply the rear brake just on the lower right of the brake pedal. I loved the pedal so much, that I will, on my own dime, now order the model offered for those with lowers and hope it brings my foot back enough that there is no interference with the snorkel.
I didn’t know I needed this so much till I rode with it the first time after installed. The position is perfect. I’m 6’2” and have the extended road sofa saddle.
Never knew about this until a couple of months ago..we'll I thought I'd give it a try and WOW what a difference! Glad I did it! Directions were excellent...better position, better feel...highly recommend
Great rear brake arm, extends out so foot isn't under like the factory one. Not too bad to install, just remember to remove bolts to crash bars. Watch the video before attempting to install.
