The answer to more leg room and comfort on floorboard equipped H-D Models. Levers move the location of the brake pedal pad while flattening the angle of the pad making it much more comfortable to operate. The amount of extension varies depending on the application, but the result is that your foot is no longer “under” the brake pedal, which is a safety issue, and makes braking easier and more natural.

+1" version of the Kuraykyn brake pedal designed for Harley's without lower fairings WILL NOT WORK on Harley's with the older or newer style lower fairings. The lower fairing impedes the brake pedal. You'll need to select the brake pedal model that says "with lower fairings". They are shorter pedals, yet flatter, and are made to fit with those old style lower fairings.
Further info: If you have the new redesigned lower fairings as seen on 24 and newer models like the Street Glide Ultra and want a +1" extended pedal you can use the SOFTBRAKE extended brake pedal and it fits fine. The Kuryakyn +1" extended pedal will not fit with the new redesigned fairings as it's designed slightly different.

What a nice change compared to the stock brake arm. My foot is no longer trapped between the floor board and brake pedal. I can't understand why Harley doesn'tfix this safety issue. The new brake arm is in a perfect location just forward of my floorboard. So much easier and quicker to access the rear brake. A little labor intensive installing it, but well worth the time. I would recommend buying this brake arm!
I am 6'3 and could not stand how cramped and high the stock pedal is situated. The extended brake arm lowers the stance of the pedal and does a great job of improving comfort for a tall rider.
Fixes a problem the Harley should have done.
Length was perfect and installation was pretty straight forward. Highly recommend if you're tired of your toes being under the brake pedal.
Easy install, and love how it lowered the the pedal. Have recommended to some friends.
