The Fire Power 12V / 2 Amp Battery Charger charges and maintains 12V powersports batteries of nearly every type: conventional lead-acid (flooded), gel, and lithium (lithium iron phosphate LiFePO4 and lithium-ion polymer). That makes it a good all-around charger if you've switched one bike to a lithium battery and still run lead-acid in another.
It charges at a constant 2 amps until the battery reaches 14.2 volts, then switches to maintenance mode and only goes back to charging when the voltage drops. Run-down batteries get a gentle start: below 8 volts it charges at 0.2 amps, steps up to 0.5 amps from 8 volts, and goes to the full 2 amps once the battery reaches 10 volts. If a battery can't get above 10 volts after 2 hours, the charger stops automatically, which tells you that battery is likely done.
For safety, no power is passed through the charging leads unless they're connected to a battery, and an LED shows charging status at a glance.
