Eagle Mfg. Doohickey - Balancer Idle Lever with Torsion Spring & Drill Bit-Kawasaki KLR 650 (1987-2018)

The Eagle Mfg. idle-shaft lever and spring replaces the "weak" stock unit that often fails on KLR 650 motorcycles. KLR650’s have been known to have problems with the stock idle lever ("doohickey") needed to keep tension on the balancer chain. There are weaknesses with both the stock spring and the stock idle lever. Failure of either part can destroy the engine. The Eagle Mfg. Doohickey solves this problem with a better design and by being made with stronger materials.

Note: 

The coil spring that comes with the Doohickey is good, but you might consider adding the direct tension the torsion spring which is an even more robust option.
