My issue is with the unit itself. I received and installed the unit on a 2021 Road King that barely has a stage one upgrade. I am running Rinehart slip ons with a K&N air filter element.
I installed the FP4 which is so easy to plug in and hook up. The issues then started. I was getting a notification that the device was trying to upload / update the bootloader file. After not being able to move past this point I reached out to V&H with the issue. A list of my information was already auto generated in the email sent from the FP4. I received an email later asking if I had access to an iPhone since I was using an Android phone. The V&H app I downloaded said it was for Android phones. Anyway, I said that I did not have access to an iPhone. No response. The next day I call the support number. After waiting through all the of the callers ahead of me I would get disconnected when it was my turn. This happened three times before I could get to speak to a Tech. Once I got through to a Tech, he told me to try and send screen shots of the info page off of my FP4 even though that was already included in the first email sent.
So the next day, Tried again to connect. I deleted and reinstalled the FP4 app first and reset the ECM. I then got the "Connecting to ECM". The device would never clear or move forward to install to the ECM. I left it run for short period and it never would connect. I tried several times and few times it did show cannot connect messages.
At that point I took screen shots of the info page from the FP4. I sent the screen shots along with other info to the V&H tech support email. That was two days ago and no response from V&H at all. So, at the end of the day, I now have a $400 paper weight.
