The Top Gun Rear shock springs are heavier and allow for added weight from a passenger or luggage and are made with the highest quality materials for accuracy and consistency. A properly sized (weighted) spring can put you at the correct ride height for adequate suspension travel.
The stock KLR650 shock spring is too light and not designed to carry luggage. Refer to the weight chart to find the correct spring weight for you and your riding.

This spring made a 100% better ride. LAB was very easy to deal with and good communication of item and delivery. Would definitely do business again.
Very pleasant experience, fast shipping very happy. I would use your business again. Thank you.
Good shipping time product came as described
I am a heavy guy, I could drop the stock spring about 3 inches by just sitting. My bike is my only vehicle so I also go grocery shopping and do a lot of off roading, this new spring is amazing. I can load up my bike with everything and I mean EVERYTHING and it barely drops. Riding is so comfy now and the bike feels tall and like a proper dual sport now.
weighing in at 275 minus gear and equipment, I was already overtaxing the rear stock spring. Installed an 8.0yellow spring and it help to adjust the bike's rake. I feel that I have full use of the rear suspension instead of taking up so much of the travel with the preload cranked up on the OEM one. A very needed upgrade to the Gen 3 KLR.
