The OptiMate 6 Ampmatic is a fully automatic, 9-step, 6 Amp charger, tester and maintainer for 12V lead-acid batteries. Ampmatic control lowers the charge rate for smaller batteries and delivers the full 6 Amps to big ones, so the same charger can handle a sportbike, a big-twin tourer, the family car or the boat.
It saves batteries from as low as 0.5V, balances the cells and charges quickly, and regulates charge voltage to the ambient temperature so the battery reaches full charge in the cold without overcharging in the heat. Once charged, it switches to maintenance and re-tests the battery every 30 minutes. There's no on/off button to forget, just connect it.
