This is one slick way of transferring fuel from a can and beats siphoning or pouring from a spout any day. If you’re particular about spillage on your bike then this tool will eliminate that risk completely. I highly recommend this transfer pump and am very happy with the quality and functionality too.
The process to fill at home couldn't be easier and safer. The transfer pump is the way to go. It is efficient and no spills. I'm using it to top off before a ride from a 5-gal portable tank. Previously it was very arduous to fill the tank with any of the 2 or 5 gal jugs, and honestly not too safe. Now with the auto shutoff, its a slam dunk. Since I was using a Specter 5-gal jug, I had to remove the spout filter and the green lock ring to allow the transfer pump to fit onto the jug. Also used the smallest adapter for tightest connection to the jug. The pump head that goes into the gas jug was a tight fit, but with a little persuasion it worked fine. All in all, this works great. Highly recommended for anyone needing to fill a gas tank from a portable jug.
Quick and easy to set up. It comes with many cap adapters to fit an assortment of fuel containers. I use it on a 5-gallon portable tank. Filling up my zero-turn mower is much easier now because I don't have to lift the tank chest height. It definitely works for me. I just got it less than a week ago but it seems solid enough to provide many years of service. Thanks!
When I initially saw this transfer device, I'll admit to a bit of skepticism. I finally needed to refill the tank on my riding mower(which usually involves spillage from a six gallon can). I located the correct adapter and installed it on the can, routed the dispenser hose from the pump to the mowers' tank, fastened the clip on the dispenser hose to the fill neck on the tank and pressed the start button on the pump. In less than twenty seconds the pump automatically shut off and the mower tank was full to a safe level...and NO SPILLAGE! After removing the dispenser hose, I raised it above the gas can and the remaining gas ran back into the gas can. The pump has a convenient hole on the body of the battery case to safely place it, locked in place with the safety clip.
The only reason I didn't give a Five Star rating is I havent removed all the gas in the can, so I don't know what to expect when the suction tube is pulled from the can to facilitate refilling the can. I expect it will take a moment to drain any remaining gas from the suction tube.
It's quite refreshing to purchase a product, at a reasonable price, that's well made and performs as advertised y'all. Giddy up.
