The Biker Gripper head unit is injection molded using Dupont Delrin Acetel resin thermoplastic and your electronic device is held securely in place with polyurethane fabric to prevent scratching and four stainless steel springs with an 18 pound grip. Vibration Dampening:
The Biker Gripper motorcycle cell phone mount is produced and sold by a company of actual motorcyclists (bikers) and it was designed from the ground up for a motorcycle environment. That's why it has no vibration issues and does not damage smartphone cameras internally.
The reason the Biker Gripper does not have vibration issues is that the gripper arms on the head move independently to absorb shaking and vibration. And, the rubber pad in the base with our logo on it actually provides grip and isolation from high-frequency vibration. Our logo, however badass it is, is a functional component of the gripper head. Also, the ball head system on the Biker Gripper has some give, unlike the rigid mounting system of other cell phone holders.

I purchased this to use in my 2004 Ford F150, mounting to one of the vents as demonstrated on the sales site. The mount has a unfurled barrel-type knob that extends a black metal hook that goes through the vent vanes and hooks around the back. Even fully extended, this hook is too short to reach the back of a vent vane or any protrusion in the vent mechanism so the knob can be tightened. I believe I can fabricate a small extension to the hook so it will work so I'm not returning the vent mount. I really like the Gripper cellphone mount so the vent mounting piece not working was disappointing. If the hook was just several mm longer, it would be great. I can only recommend the automobile vent mount with the understanding the may not work on all vehicles.
I firmly believe this is one of the best phone holders on the market. Installation is a breeze as well. The best part is there awesome customer service and will provide any help to there customers! 5 star rating all day!!

I've been using mine for approximately 3 years and has worked great until recently the head unit loosened up but was readily replaced by Law Abiding Bikers. Great company and great product.

The best mobile phone holder. This is the second one I have purchased. This one is for the car. The original one I purchased when they first came out is still excellent on the bike
